Is there ANY way we can get these ONE-PIECE window kits for under $500.00??? Also, has anyone ever changed the weatherstripping on those original WINDOW VENTS?? It looks like e real pain!

I havn't driven it yet with the vent window in.  I pulled the door panels to fix the vent window on the drivers side and the door panel on the passenger side to replace the power window motor.  The power window motor went out a week after my son started to drive it.

I'll post pictures - I just got into a hurry.  The vent window fits like a glove though.

VENT WINDOW ASSEMBLY

I replaced both of the vent window seals.  They are a pain.  I have a write up on around here somewhere.  I removed the two rivets on the hinge to reinstall the vent window gasket.  After all that work, the passenger side worked but the drivers side didn't.  The drivers side still had bad wind noise and leaked water.

I went ahead and bought a new vent assembly through Captkaos.  I looked at the new one I received and the old one I tried to fix.  I just couldn't get the gasket to "sit" just right in the old vent window.  I used plenty of soapy water to try and coax the gasket into place - but I guess it didn't work.

I have learned to remove these vent windows quickly now :D  It certainly was a good learning experience.

I moved this to the relevant posts.  Yes I can get them, the fit just like factory and look just like factory because they are GM pieces.  They are $245 + shipping.
Read above for more info.
