Chevy K 30 pulling out an LN 8000 Ford
« on: October 23, 2008, 12:01:15 am »
Some pics from a year ago. Just got them e mailed to me. Thought you guys might enjoy them.
My buddy Pete, he thinks Fords are the greatest ::). He has two Super Duty F350 pick ups for plowing, the LN 8000 in the pics to haul loads and his back hoe with,  and his mud / wheeling truck is an 84 F250 with one ton running gear etc. under it. Which over the years my Blazer has pulled out and then drove right through where it was stuck many many times.
He called me up last fall, asked if I could come up and see what I thought of getting his dump truck out of the hole it had sunk into. His in laws live right up the road from me. He had backed in to dump some fire wood. Didn't know there was an old steel septic tank in the yard from the house his father in law grew up in. I told him I would pull it out with my 1 ton. He said no way. Well the pictures tell the story!

Stuck.:

On the axle!:

"No way your gona budge me.":

The truth hurts, Chevys rule Fords drule.:

Job well done.:

He didn't have much choice. Another of our buddies showed up right as we where hooking it up. he is a Chevy freak too, so he grabbed his camera and snapped the pics. He brought his fathers 96 Crew cab dually with a 454 in hopes he would be the Chevy to pull Pete out. You notice he is ignoring the camera!! Also note the truck is loaded with log length cord wood. It was all there I'll tell ya!

I have a friend that always told me his ford was better than any chevy i own. so just last month he calls me looking to find a truck for the winter. i found him a 82 custom deluxe 1/2 ton for 1000. and now he tells me he loves it and might sell the ford to build up the chevy. lol my way of the truth
