Updated pic... 1984 SWB with bargain wheels.
« on: October 27, 2008, 12:03:12 pm »
After putting my tan 84 on the back burner to work on my blue and white 84, I decided to get it out and drive to an area show/drag race.

I had to touch up some spots in the door jams and rockers with GE refrigerator spray paint, install a new mini-starter and lower radiator hose, and put on my new bargain wheels/tires to get there, but had a great time... It's amazing how a fairly clean squarebody can draw a crowd. Nothing too spectacular but got a couple "wanna sell it" flag downs on the way.

Here's a pic as it sits now.

Thanks... I really like the color, it's not one you see fixed up often.  Captkaos, do you know how much height difference there is between a Big 10 and a regular C10?  Mine is a legitimate Big 10 (according to the title), and is lowered with 2.5" spindles, shackles and hangers and the primary overload leaf removed, but it still seems like it sits higher than others lowered with the same parts...  I would like it to be lower (maybe an inch front and rear, but hate to remove everything I have already installed to do a flip kit and trim the coils. Any suggestions?

Most of the height difference on a Big10 in at the rear due to the HD springs, generally it is about 1.5 - 2" on the ones I have seen.  The fronts sag really good, so they are hard to tell.
