Hey Chris, are you taking into account that it is not on the stock frame. Probably a thinner-wall fully boxed type deal. But 2800 still seems a bit light. Let us know what the scales say.

I couldn't tell what kind of frame other than the front was clipped. Is it a full frame replacement. 2800 is LIGHT. Let us know.

there is about 2 or 3 feet of the stock frame just under the cab, the back half is 2 x 3, the firewall and floor all tin, doors are gutted and tinned over in the inside, the box floor is tin as well as the box cover, the wheels are aluma star which are one of the lightest wheels on the market. The truck has had any excess weight shed in every possible area. The owner before said he had a 700 horse 468 and that the truck went 9.80 with it and that with a 900 horse 540 it went 9.20 with a glide too, so we will see when i scale the thing. It's hard to believe a truck can weigh that little, but after looking the truck over it has been completely gutted so we will see. I can only hope that is what it weighs, becuase that is the eaisest way to go fast.

very nice truck.... I will have to look for you at the track, I live in Brooks and have an 81 shorbox that I took to the track, but had traction problems. Did you make it to Lethbridge street machine weekend this weekend?.... It was a blast.
