WIRING TO STARTER
« on: August 28, 2009, 09:08:13 pm »
Does anyone have a pic or know exactly where the STEEL elbow tube that holds the starter wiring mounts to? There are two areas on the tube where it monuts(one 3/8" hole tab and one 1/4" hole tab)

Thanks much!

To the bellhousing bolts or studs.

Thats what I thought.  It looks like one goes to the tranny tube mounting tab?-- but is close to the head pipe.

So, where does the smaller mounting tab(on the elbow) mount to? I don't see a stud anywhere.

Here's a pic of the lower attachment.  As Vile points out, a bell housing bolt keeps the main attachment in place.  When I removed my old 350 out of my 79 way back when, I took hundreds of pics...here's one...excuse the oil drips--one reason I replaced the old 350....

Thank you so much. It appears that the lower tab mounts to the stock starter! No wonder, I have a mini-starter! DUH!

I just couldn't remember where the thing mounted!

Thanks again.
