Getting oxidized aluminum wheels clean?

I agree on working on them better than the couch but a man at 32 with 6 kids and one on the way I never get that lol. On the inside of the wheel it says made in the USA that gave me another go keep going.. I rather have these clean and be working on something else on the truck though.. Wheels are fun but hours and money and every type of cleaner gets a bit old.. I make sure to never let wheels get like this.. I love vintage cars and trucks.. Save things that are old are cool I didn't want to come off like complaining I just wanted hey try this and get me in a right direction lots have done that here..

True I have a starting basketball team with a back up on the bench.. God blessed me for sure with them.. That being said 5 of them are girls and the 2 older ones are boy crazy!! It's difficult ya know. That being said my boy is 2 he likes his little toy cars not into polishing some wheels lol.. My 8 year old daughter though she has given a hand she like the 64 impala no seat belts lol.. I teach them about the history of cars they always say dad prefers the old over new..

I think in life everything you get that is older and vintage is going to be more work than I thought. I've been trying to get advice from people on easy way to get these back to looking good.. For what I payed I'm very happy these wheels restored go for big money.. I think it's my talents and the fact I've always had chrome and not aluminum I've tryed lots of products.. I get them cleaned just bit longer than I thought.. I'm happy you found them man.. I feel like I'm having to defend myself I just want to learn to do this right and faster lol.. I'm not paying someone to do it.. Just been getting tips that's it never said I did not like the wheels.. There rough but so is every project I take on I just do not know what I'm doing and admit that lol

No need to tape off the spokes. You can just paint, then take some thinner and wipe the paint off the polished areas.   

I don't know how well it works on something larger, like wheels, but when I painted my valve covers, I applied a coat of petroleum jelly to the fins that I didn't want painted. However, I don't remember if I wiped it off when the paint was still wet, or if I waited for it to dry. That might make a difference.

I would think wet, like painters tape when painting a house, pull it off wet for the nice lines.

Never thought of that I'm still scrubbing trying to get the in-between clean but paint is sounding good what you guys go with brand and color
