Anyone have a source for axle flanges?
« on: September 22, 2011, 09:09:31 pm »
Looking for brake mounting flanges that fit the 1/2 ton rear axles and not having much luck. It's a 3" tube with the 4 hole spaces approx 2.75" apart. Anyone have a source?

What are you wanting to do...leave the original 12 bolt axle bearing "cup" & cut away the original plate & weld this "yet to be found" bracket on? What is the brake set-up for/from? I'm guessing this isn't the stock bolt spacing your after? Lorne

Actually I am looking for the stock spacing on the exterior of the axle tube. Existing bearing cup set up. I'm playing around with a few ideas that will require killing the stock mount.

I see them for trailers http://store.rvdirect.com/rvdirect/details.php?ITEM=6511510
