Seriously... where do I put the oil in?

Final stages of putting back together my truck with a crate engine from tuff dawg out of Phoenix. So my question is, where do I put the oil in? See pictures attached. On top of both valve covers, are 2 breathers. I took off the passenger side breather, replaced it with PCV. I don't see where you would pour the oil in. Help?

The emissions guys usually prefer the pcv valve on the drivers side. As far as adding oil, Pop one of those breathers off and go!

That is where I got my 383, tuff dawg out of Phoenix--class act people there.
As far as putting oil in, if it's cloudy outside, you put oil in the left side valve cover.  If it is sunny, you put oil on the right valve cover.  

Just pop off a breather or PCV valve.

What size engine did you get?

Remove oil drain plug, squirt oil in and put drain plug back in really fast.


Actually I think JCwhitney used to sell some piece of crap you drained and filled the oil out of the dipstick tube. 

But yes either side is fine to fill it.

also take the rubber grommet out of the breather hole. that will make the hole bigger

haha, ok, funny guys. I'm just so used to having an actual filler opening and cap. I just wanted to make VERY VERY sure before I did something and not ruin the motor. I got the 350, the one he sells for 1,995. Thanks!

with these trucks you can poor oil in the carb and still be good lol

make sure you use the proper oil. I would definitely get a oil primer and prime it before cranking it over. turn the engine over by the crank while doing it too.

Vile that thing JC Whitney sells is handy when changing oil on an inboard motor on a boat...are they marketing it for cars and trucks?

^Definitely this if you have a flat tappet cam. I used Brad Penn break-in oil on mine, and only use that brand now. Their regular oil has the zinc your cam needs to live longer.
