If you try to remove the pump without removing the solenoid you will break it. Also if you get a replacement pump, look at the back of the pump before you install it. Often they come with only one or two bolts holding it together and you need to transfer over the ones from your old pump.

If I remember correctly somewhere I read that the nonlockup and lockup pumps are different. Or is that just the torque converters? Id hate to buy a pump for a nonlockup converter.

Well guys I put more fluid in the trans and its all good. I took it for a test drive and all seems to be good! If I can get it to idle right its going to have a nice lope to it.
