I have a 73 chevy c10 camper special. It had 2 gas tanks.. now only has the pass side tank.. I need help hooking it up so my gauge can read it.. my sending unit has 2 red wires coming from it

Mike, it obvious that you have a dual tank and if it's a factory built then you should have left and right tank switch on the dash. If that is the case then you have a fuel switch valve on the frame somewhere. I would replace the fuel valve switch and the hose connection and that should restore the use of both tanks and fuel gauge.

Actually how I read you only have one tank, and your gas gauge reads half full when empty, so I would say a new sender, maybe new gauge to match said sender is the only solution. I don't think the wiring would allow to read just one tank.
