Well, I finally reached a milestone with the '78 K10.
2.5" lift with Skyjackers. Came with Rancho Shocks, still have the Bilsteins, though need 'shock extensions if I plan to reuse them(?). Not sure there are viable products for this type of shock mount.
BFG finally released the K03 in 35x12.5x15.
Called last week to make appointment, asked about the Black Friday sale. No go with BFG.
Only to see BFG included with tons of other brands "THIS WEEK" UGHHH!
What's left is a paint job where the colors match.
Story: front fenders rusted from driving on the beach and not rinsing salt off (dummy!). Gave the paint shop a sample that they obviously missed.
Have to say, the ride is smoother and quieter. Larger diameter tires roll over crappy roads better, tighter tread design helps too.

In all fairness, these were replacement fenders that were off the truck.
They gave me a (crazy) quote to paint the entire truck, but when I realized they couldn't match a living example of the color I
lost confidence in their ability.

I've had quotes of 24K, I think theirs was just south of 10.
I painted my first resto at 22, '67 Olds Toro, have been used to doing my own work since before then.
Downsizing has me at a disadvantage, no place to do this kind of work anymore.
I enjoy your posts of the projects, especially of your children included. Seems like you do most of your own work too.
I taught my daughters to change their own oil, brakes, and other maintenance items.
