inner fender removal/heater core
« on: October 09, 2016, 01:55:23 pm »
2 wd 1/2 ton w air

I am replacing the heater core and I read the post in the tech section.
I removed the bolts on the inner fender to move it out of the way and it dont move
it looks like I am going to have to un bolt the fender because the inner fits inside of the fender
Also I cant even see the bolts I need to remove. Are they inside the ac evap housing?

Got it: so in the tech section :heater core removal: under the with ac instructions:
you might ad  removing the inner fender well because you cant see the bolts going through the fire wall unless you do

Which thread were you looking at? Yes you need to remove the inner fender in order to access the bolts on the firewall.

Negative on removing the inner fender well. A swivel some tape to keep from rolling to much and 4 extensions you can get that nut off with out dropping the fender well or drilling holes
