The mounts are the same. The wiring harness and computer would be helpful. Flexplate, exhaust, radiator, hoses, pulleys etc. That's where you'll have to make some changes.

I went backwards on a carbed truck, only had to have my existing exhaust hooked up to the 350 and had to put a small block power steering pump on. Everything else I reused from the 454.

Does anyone know of a write up or more detailed description on doing this in one of our trucks? I have a line on a good running 454, carbed, alreday mated to a TH400.
Thanks,
T.J.

How detailed do you want? It is just a matter of taking a SBC out and putting a BBC in, save for a few specifics.

ought to be so as to not affect the ride height and handling, course you can also install coil spring air helpers and use those...

Well, I don't really have any experience with big blocks. I mainly would like to know what parts I would need to change out in order to make it work. Or is Vile's list above pretty much it?
Thanks,
T.J.

Viles list is pretty much accurate. If you have a complete running engine/trans assembly, you don't need to worry about the flexplate. The exhaust is different.
As for coils, it will lower the truck about 1".

If you keep the original coils, your alignment will change. I ruined a front set of tires after a 305 --> 396 swap and a 300mi drive.
The power streering bracket is the hardest thing to get.
