pulling while braking
« on: April 23, 2009, 01:01:55 pm »
when i am braking the steering pulls to the driver's side.  if i brake with my hand off the wheel it will jerk all the way to the driver's side.  while cruising, the alignment is excellent and really couldn't be any better.  what could this be?
***i forgot to mention as well, the brakes need bled.  the truck stops fine, but i never bled them all the way a while back.  could one line be bled more than th other, and maybe causing a twist while braking?

check your brake hoses and caliper slides. Make sure the busing slide freely and the piston can be homed easily. If they check out ok replace both front brake hoses.

when that happened to me early on with Blue, i had a lose conection on one of the lines and the one resivoir was empty in the booster, so it could be low fluid, if that helps lol.

i,v heard of bad brake hoses causing that problem also calibers take the breaks of and check replace pads if needed and go from there

i would first check your lines and everything....but i kno of an 89 suburban that was pulling to the right when pushing the brakes and they replaced the whole front end and every part in the front and it was still doing it....and they figured out that the frame was bending or flexing causing the pull

If the brake system hasn't been bled properly there's no reason to expect the brake system to work properly.
