350 BLOCK (STROKER

WHO KNOW THE BASIC PARTS FOR A 350(383)STROKER is a 3.75 crank right and 5.7 rods
 is a 434 a 400 with a stroker kit and bored+.30over ....time for me to upgrade ........if someone can give me the details on what i need to build a 383 or 434 ......gonna try to get a pre85 350 or 400 block .....i know only one thing a stroker require a bigger crank with longer rods for a longer stroke .......im guessing.........i just want to build something with about 375-400 hp .....................thanks chevy fam

Kinda hard to follow you there. The crankshaft determines the stroke not the rods.

You can get 375-400 hp out of a 350, no problem.  If you build a 383 (4.030" bore x 3.75" stroke) and shoot for 375-400 hp you will have the same hp but with about 30-40 ft-lb of additional torque.  IMO building a 434 (4.155" bore x 4" stroke) and only shooting for 375-400 hp would be a waste of time and money, unless you need serious low end torque.

oh i see . :o.....i thought it was both rods and crank ...........see thats y i asked u guys . ;D.......so basicaly i can change the crank in a 350 and use stock rods in the 383 ..........thanks
