« on: July 18, 2010, 04:15:30 pm »
ok I'm going from a TBI computer engine to non computer, On my 87 SWB. I have the trans. taken care of for lockup. Has anyone pulled the computer out? How hard will this be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

??? What exactly are you trying to do? If you're just putting a carburetor on it it doesn't have to come out. All you need is a carb and an HEI

from what I know with the older tbi stuff the computer is of course for the lockup on the trans only and the engine functions so it'd be easy to remove.

As said before you need the carb and hei dist. and a fuel pressure regulator or switch to a block mounted pump if the block is drilled to accept one.
