flip kit probs?
«
on:

I bought my truck with the flip kit all ready done but it seems the back sit lower then the front by a little bit but also seems to sit a little lower on the passenger side. I took a look and this is what i found.
passenger side shackle(note the bend in the leaf)
here is the passenger hanger
and the driver hanger
I'm new to full size truck lowering so I don't know if everything looks right or not.

if it is sitting lower on the pass side then it is def the bent main leaf. but there really is no bad thing about doing a flip, provided it is done correctly. i would def get the leaf replaced soon tho.

Time for new springs. Make sure the shackles move freely.

Missing a bolt on that last pic. The bracket for the leafs. Those springs look horrible!

Yeah I thought they were junk but I wanted to get some input before I bought some new ones. I'm gonna have a look around for some replacements A.S.A.P. Thanks for the help all!

More than likely the shackle isn't moving and bent your leafs.

Or someone overloaded the truck, or just took a torch to them.

I recommend Energy Suspension poly bushings for the leaf springs and shackles. I installed them when I did the flip and shackle drop on my truck. Great quality!

I think this poor truck has lived many lives, looks like someone had a 5th wheel in the bed so weight was more then likely the cause but I'm not gonna rule out some shoddy lowering "tricks" lol.

It could have been overloaded, "or" the PO heated the springs to get more drop. Replace those and check your front springs too.

I hope to have the new leafs on this weekend. I did have a look at the front springs and it looks like they where cut but it's hard to tell how much. On the plus side the cut on the front springs look real good. something tells me even after I get the new leafs on it's still gonna ride low in the rear.........may have to pick up some lowering spindles at some point.
