Thottle cable mod **easy & quick**
« on: August 22, 2011, 07:39:22 am »
When I was installing my new cd player I noticed how much slack was on my gas pedal.
I took a tiewrap put on the end of the cable, cut the excess.
Now it grabs the tiewrap and pulls the cable earlier.
No extra HP or anything, just a couple millisec in response.
I did this to an old Ranger I had, got the idea from a forum.

Hope it helps someone.
James

So your throttle cable is secured by a zip tie now instead of a ferrule?

Now that is funny, I would love to see the feet smacking the pavement to move the truck.

in some of our trucks this is possible with the rust problems
