Pressure switch?
«

Just above the oil filter on the adaptor is a pressure switch with two male spade terminals. The plug that plugs into it is making contact with my newly installed shorty header.
Is this a low pressure warning light? Can I unplug and then loop it?
Its on a 84 with a Goodwrench 350.

If it has pink and blue wires connected it might be for the electric choke heater on the carb.
Edit
:
Can you use an angled fitting to gain needed clearance, then use heat reflective loom around the wires, connector and switch? Or, maybe, relocate the switch next to the distributor at the back of the intake manifold and reroute the wiring.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
