« on: April 11, 2015, 08:38:27 am »
i jus bought a 1977 c10 stepside with the inline 6 4.1l and three on the tree. I am trying to find out where I can buy parts for the three on the tree. It will not shift at all, something is broke inside column. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Welcome from NW Indiana since this is your first post.  First of all there are no aftermarket rebuild kits for these columns unfortunately.  You may have to convert it to a floor shifter or if you are lucky enough to find a used one in good enough shape from a pick and pull.  I searched 7 years for a good column for my 86 before I found one.  84-87's were almost non existent.  If you can take some pictures of under the hood with the linkages I may be able to help.  Sometimes you can straighten it out if it is in between gears of sorts.  I also will have some good used parts from columns if you can identify what you need.

Has the same set up, put it on the floor. After about three months canned it and put in a auto turbo 350 trans, runs like a top...

You'll have to remove the column and dis assemble
It
If something is broken you'll see it and get it welded back together
