It seems like almost ever since I put in my rebuilt 350, I've had this hissing sound. I replaced the valve covers, so my PCV setup got changed, and now I have a big unused nipple coming out of the TBI spacer ring that the air filter sits on. I got a new spacer without the nipple, and I still have that really bad hissing. I figured I must have some kind of vacuum leak, but I don't know where to start. Is there any special technique or do I just look at every single vacuum line?
Also, I've noticed that sometimes, if I take off from a stop sign or a light, I'll lose all power and it will feel like I'm taking off in too high of a gear. The engine bogs down and I could floor it and it would just chug. Do you guys think a vacuum leak would be associated with this problem, it's getting pretty annoying. Thanks for any help.
