Can't wait to see the finished (if they are ever finished) product.  Love what you have done with the fenders and the tailgate.  Great job.

You don't finish, you just run out of money.

Awesome work so far!  If possible, could you take some pictures during the install?  I'm thinking of suicide doors for mine too and it would be handy for all of us if we had pictures and a guide for a 73-87-specific install.  But only if it's not too much trouble.  Keep up the good work!

I will be taking pictues as I go. I plan to start on the passenger side so by the time I get to the drivers side I will know what I am doing.

I've done my share of fabricating and sheet metal work.  I'm here to tell you that is nice work, dv8!  Can't wait to see the finished product.  It takes lots of time, talent and patience to do what you are doing..........plus a good measure of obsession.  Have fun!

So far the install has been pretty straight forward. The only issue I ran into was with the bottom hinge pocket. I wanted to space the hinges as far apart as I could for stability but that put the lower hinge half way through that step right in front of the back wall. It was difficult cutting that out with just a sawzall and a cut off wheel but I made it fit (with a little added help from a big hammer). If I had a plasma cutter I could have saved about an hours worth of work. ::)

I have been taking photos with the intent of doing a guide for you guys. I am not going to do it until I finish the install though, I don't want to steer anyone in the wrong direction before I finish and see what the final outcome is.
