2500HD wheels onto K20
« on: December 04, 2008, 02:15:59 PM »
Has anybody put the newer 99-up 2500HD 8-lug aluminum wheels (option code PY0) onto their truck?

http://car-part.com/images/interchange/W5079.gif

I really like the wheels and they would be a huge improvement over the wheels on my 78 K20 right now but I have never seen them on a 73-87 before. Anybody seen it or have pictures of one with them on it?

Thanks for the help.

Agreed Capt! They are some that I hope to add to my truck eventually, just got to convince the Wife that the Good Looking Fatory Steelies need a changes(Bout time for tires and she knows, so when I go larger then the wheels will be swapped)... 8)
This one's a bit low for my taste wheel and tire wise, but its a Great looking truck altogether...

If you want to use the center caps the lug nuts will be different too.

Are the center caps held on by the lug nuts?

Technically they are held on by the plastic lugnut covers that have molded in washers, that contact with the lip countersunk into each lug hole on the caps....

Lol.... Yeah but if you buy the rims with the caps, and Lugnuts, yet don't have the Plastic lugnut covers(Not everybody selling the rims include the Caps, let alone the plastic lugnut covers, and most dealerships will do the same if you try to buy the pieces.. Unless you buy a Wheel or Cap Package), then you still can't mount the caps.... ::)
