havent updated for awhile

updates

i won the contest for best video on 4wheelparts on facebook, got $1000 gift card

heres the link to the video YouTube - cory burb kissmydiff part 2

used that to get a warn tabor 12k lb winch, 35 spline milemarker hubs, an air compressor, strap, and some d rings

i love it, so happy i won, so glad everyone voted for me

the hubs were the last part i needed to upgrade my front axle to 35 spline outers, went with spicer ones w/ spicer u joints, they have been holding up great to my regular abuse

i also had spent about the last year collecting parts and building things to swap into my truck to give it a divorced 205 twinstick drivetrain, i like the 465/205 combo, but i hate couplers and adapters

lots of work, but its working great, i love it, some bearing noise i have to track down but not bad, great off road, solved alot of driveshaft issues

the case is a dodge 32 spline 205, the rear is a full 1350 cv shaft i had made, the intermediate and front shafts are also both 1350, i hope to never have issues with u joints again

this is what i felt was the best solution to the adapter coupler problem

Nice work. Thats a sick rig. I like the work you did on the divorce mount transfer case. What kind of bushings did you use on the crossmember you built where it goes to the truck frame? did you solid mount the t-case to the crossmember? and where did you get the parts to adapt the t-case to divorce mount? sorry for 20 questions hahah

easy answers lol no problem

the bushings are from www.diy4x.com its called a fabricators kit, you get a peice of 2" DOM with a poly bushing and sleeve, even comes with a bolt, not too expensive, then you just weld the DOM sleeve to whatever and go from there

yes the case is solid bolted to the crossmember, theres a picture further up somewhere where you can actually see it

i dont know what it takes exactly to adapt a married case to make it divorced, the way i did it, this is actually an old dodge 205 which came stock as a divorced case, its nice because its all 32 spline. then i just ordered 1350 yokes, took it apart and twin sticked it

i guess i should have changed the bearings, as now i have some chatter, i think its the case, but may be the tranny, as both were sitting around peoples yards on craigslist, they are indestructable, and a rebuilt in the future is no big deal

Okay cool thanks. I have a '86 C20 that i plan on swapping 4x4 running gear under and i figured it might be easier to divorce mount a t-case then go through the hassle of swapping a tranny/changing a tailshaft. plus my driveshaft angles would be better and i could loose my 2 piece rear driveshaft

Love the rig! I was wondering what it took to get the Jeep seats in there? I have an 86 K20 and really want to get rid of the bench.

it is possible to do them in a truck with saddle tanks, as i had them in my other truck before

but you have to beat down the seat hump some so that the power sliders and motors all fit in there, it sucked alot, i still cant get it so sit perfectly straight as the driver seat i have, someone really wore out the cushion on one part, basically i used the tabs it had and welded mounts directly to my floor, they hold up great, but the passenger ones motor has since blown, im seriously considering some other seats of the manual variety, oh and be ready to sit up alot higher in the truck, i like it but some people dont

lol i dissapeared again guys, hope you like long overdue updates!

lol well, got the interior cage in, suspension seats and lap belts, seat cage supports, quick release steering wheel, criss crossed the bed cage like i have been wanting to, welded up a large PS res because the rad hose and a peice of pipe wasnt cutting it off road with the hydro assist, setup a limiting strap in the rear after messing up a driveshaft, and lots of other small stuff, but mostly been playing with it

been having plenty of normal problems, lately blowing up 35 spline hubs... the mile marker ones are not very trusty, going to warn premiums soon

i took apart the other one the next day when i noticed it acting fishy

story of my life haha, i drive it on the road too much for drive flanges sadly
