oil inter cooler pipes
« on: January 09, 2009, 01:25:46 pm »

Morning guys and gals- its been a while due to little one's arrival etc etc

Now I'm back on the truck and getting ready to pull the donkey out but...........  under the oil filter are two rubber hoses that go to the front cooler (infront of the main rad) and I can't for love nor money undo either pipe at either end. Would it be feasible to just cut the rubber pipe and sleeve it when the reinstall takes place or is there too much pressure to do this?

cheers as always

Congrats on the little one! ;D
Other than some PB Blaster(liquid wrench but better), I don't know what else to tell you. Are you trying to loosen it prom the cooler end or from where the cooler lines connect to the trannys hard lines? It's been a while since i've messed with one so i'm going off of memory here.

Eliminate the engine oil cooler all together. They are garbage

good ideal. got a story to go along with spicing high pressure lines with fuel line tho. back when i worked at autozone this on ugly woman "newpaper lady" i mean she was so ugly she is probably what killed ray Charles or the reason he went blind  8) lol but anyway she would come into the zone all white trashed up no offense to the others out there. she would come in with a wife beater on "tank top" and no bra need less to say she was about 50 then on top of that is was the summer time she did her own work on her shitvett i think it was so she was sweaty. this was a bad sight, she fell from the ugly tree and for some reason climbed back up and fell again but anyway. she had a break line leak she said it was only a pin hole. now autozone policy was if the costumer wanted a part no mater if they need it or not we were to sell it to them. but on this case all my other zoners ran as soon as she pulled up so i was stuck out front after she told me what she wanted i had to tell her no she got all prissy and stormed off after putting up a fight advance auto is right across the street and i was on good terms with them knew all there names and they knew mine, sent allot of costumers to them if we did have a part they needed even tho i could get it i would still send them over there. told them about the woman and what she wanted. so they wouldn't sell the fuel line to her. never heard or seen from her again ??? now the one thing we argued about the break line was she could at least put a new piece in but for some reason she didn't want to do it i don't know go figure

I had to laugh at that myself and nearly quoted it like you did.  That is hilarious. That IS ugly.
