Thanks but no thanks, even if I did vote for him wouldn't catch me there. Talk about prime target for terrorist!

I can't agree with you there, brother. I REFUSE to not do something out of fear from jealous scumbags!!!!!
They will not influence me in the least as to what I do and not do.  That's exactly what they want to do, disrupt and influence our lives.
I stand in defiance! I will not bow down to these subterranean Afgan cave-hiding worms!  I do what is patriotic and tell everyone I am not influenced.  Dang, I almost sound presidential.  It's rubbing off on me.

Man, I take my hat off to you. Politics over here stinks and you'd never find me with that many people around me. My max crowd tolerance was 125k at a Robbie Williams (singer!) open air concert!!

Okay- now Obama is signed in and ready to go, it must be time to start the selection process for the next candidate. The last election campaign seemed to go on for years  ;D

I saw many people from other countries mixed in with the crowd.  I saw a group from Canada, some African countries, and Australian.  I am sure there were more, those are just whom I heard and spoke to.  On the way to the subway station, once off the interstate, I had to wait in traffic for nearly an hour just to go a half mile.  The license plates I saw in that half mile displayed people from FL, GA, NC, SC, AL, WV, TN.  It seemed those of us from VA were definately in the minority, i saw few of our plates and we were in VA.

It was all very impressive.

I added a few more pics that I had developed.  Some are from using my 500mm lens.  They are on page 2 of this site, linked at the bottom of the page....

This is a big deal for you Americans, eh?  I can't understand all the hooplah of seeing a new leader take power but if it excites you, power to you.  I must say though, from what I've seen of Obama, he seems pretty cool.  Even though I consider myself a conservative, if I were able to vote in the USA I probably would have cast a ballot for him.  Really though, I'm just glad the disaster known as George Bush is done.  Good luck to Obama and all my friends down south!

*SFORD* Personal attacks are not allowed. If you disagree then disagree but keep the insults to yourself*

I will support him because he is my president, but I dont have to like him. He stands for most of what I am against.

Let's keep SGTDEL's post in topic so this thread doesn't have to be locked.

Boy, this has turned into quite a political discussion, or debate is more like it.

Quote
So democrat = socialist?

No, a democrat does not mean socialist.  It is true they are both on the left of the spectrum.  However, what Obama has been putting forth does resemble the virtues of socialism.  It is funny, we see Cuba in crisis right now after three hurricanes have devastated the country, the USSR no longer exist and what is now Russia collapsed and now is on the verge of becoming a democracy after realizing socialism/communism doesnt work. China has instituted many democratic ideals as far as trade and economy.  And we, well, we have just elected the most leftist politician since FDR.  We are becoming the country we just defeated in the cold war. interesting.

There is a good reason I chose the title of my website, which I haven't decided what to do with it yet except throw pics on it.   Bolsheviks = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolshevik

I do not feel he is a Muslim.  His former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, as anti-American as he was, did not preach Islam.

Where was the personal attack? And calling George Bush a disaster is not attacking him???

He was raised muslim, and has kept company with known terrorists, along with being taught and mentored by anti-americans. How the american people can elect him is beyond my understanding. I am a Christian conservative, and I pray that God will change him from within. But that is my opinion, and I dont want to force my views on anyone.

As a christian, you should also know that the Bible say God is ruler of rulers. God has control of the situation, have faith in that, and dont worry about it. Sorry guys to get off subject, and if I offend anyone. This is just my beliefs.
