gettin it to hook?

In the final stages of my build. 83' stepside 2wd, 500 HP 489 BB :o, 350 trans, 9" rear w 4.11 gears,31"x16.5" tires. Im running the stock leaf spring configuration and planing on fabricating traction bars. anyone had experience drag-in a heavy chevy?

thats the going reply. some one said adjustable bars from under the rear to the bottom of the frame below the back of the cab was extremely effective.

HaulinIt has a "duped" version of Caltracs on his drag truck.
If you "link" a leaf setup, you have to have housing floaters on the connection to allow the links to travel without binding.

 Thats right Truck arms done right is hard to beat.
