manual window crank regulators

Will 1976 manual window crank regulators fit in a 1980 door?  I realize the door panels themselves are not the same, but what about the regulator?  Are they the same?

They will fit but the regulator is actually shorter where the crank attaches so it will interfere with the door panel. You can modify them to work if you're good with a welder or get some different crank handles.
