1979 and 1980 was the only year for square headlights and it was the later part of 79...

so sum1 swapped the headlight, so should i swap it bcak to the original way or leave it alone?

well it all depends on what style you like... thats the thing about these trucks... you can do anything relatively cheap and if you dont like it you can change it... all depends what look you want....

just "google" a 78 and you will have an idea.... I dont have any pics cause mine is the first year of newer bodystyle... "81"...

Welcome from a bit north of you in Hastings florida. Are you planning on attending the daytona car show/swp meet in march? I`m gonna be there but in my 70 cougar and with my club so if your around and see a bunch of cougars with a sunshine state cougar club, i may be around.

You know what, I got lucky. I got the truck the way it is. But the truck been sitting outside for a while and there is so much rust. I pretty much have to replace every fender and the cab is just as bad. well is that lucky ???
