I have a 82 stepside 2W.D. which I assumed had a 305 in it. Yesterday while changing the oil I noticed that the block did not have the "305" cast into the block on the drivers side near the power steering pump. I've seen several 305 motors stamped in this location. Just wondering if all of them came that way (cant see the casting #'s on the back of the block to tell for sure).

The 305 cast into the block came on the later one pieces rearmain seal engines.  82 will still be the 2 pieces seal engine.
