spindles????

Hey just wondering what everyones  preferences are on spindles?

Looking to buy some in the near future already  flipped the rear axle on my 86 longbed

there seem to be alot of companies making them now
Will probably have to bring the front down 4 inches so spindle and spring whats a good combo that works for you guys?

Also If you would like to give input on shocks I will take it all in

2" spindles and 2" springs will work. Get 2" lowered shocks. Look on summitracing.com

DJM, Belltech, McGaughy, Western all make good spindles.

When I lowered my truck the second time I used djm spindles the only problem I had was I ordered the ones with 1.25 brakes and I had 1" brakes oh well got new brakes and wheel barrings, and I had to grind a little off the  brake caliper ear to run stock steelies but no lower control arm problems

Keep in mind that the majority of the spindles out there are going to widen your track width.  I originally had Bell Tech spindles on my truck and the tires rubbed and I couldn't make make u-turns.  I changed to the CPP spindles and it narrowed my track width and got rid of all of my tire rubbing issues.

They widen the track width no more than 1/2" per side.  I have never had any issues with these and I have used alot of spindles.  With a factory tire and rim it will never hit.  From the factory they came designed so the front is wider than the rear.

I have a 85 silverado SWB. Ive had this truck for several years and never had any problems with the front end till about 6 months ago. I recently replaced front brakes with new rotors from A/C delco. My wheel bearings were in good shape,so just repacked them. About two weeks later my brakes were squeaking badly. Taking off the front wheels to get to the brakes,I noticed the wheel was loose at the bearing. I took apart,inspected it and reassembled everything. This happens every 3 to 4 weeks still! The bearing loosens up and glazes the pads. Ive been told the aftermarket spindles dont fit right and to get them off there,but I never had this problem till replacing the rotors. Anyone run into this?
