Bummed Out.
« on: March 02, 2009, 11:08:49 am »
I'm pretty much bummed out today. Big snows brought down a bunch of limbs for we to clean up. Brooksy (wifey) and I've had the flu this weekend. When one of us wasn't running to the bathroom, the other one was :D Checking the balance on my 401K hasn't been much of a relief(can you relate?) And my best friend died Sunday morning. His heart was weak for yrs and finally gave out. And of course the old truck won't go.
It is an awful pretty day tho.. :)

Sorry to hear about your friend. My wife and kids have had the flu all last week. We spent all day yesterday cleaning the house and disinfecting everything hoping to get rid of it. Just get some rest the branches aren't going anywhere. They will be there when you get better.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I know all about that stomach bug, I had it a few weeks ago and it was the worst I have ever experienced. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Hang in there Don.  Everyone's number is eventually called for the man upstairs.  It's all part of the game of life.
At least you have power--no matter how bad things are, they could be worse.  About your 401k, it's a shame.  My mutual funds took a lickin as well.  Thought about cashing in what i got left, but, now is the time to add to them b4 the market goes back up (i'm optimistic). Buy low, sell high.
Be thankful for what you have, not what you had and could've had, or whatever.

I know how you feel, I lost a several people close to me this year. One was like a son to me, car accident,  another was cancer two years older than me. I found comfort in many kind words written here when I posted about them. Hang in there, things will get better.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
