just tryin to get my engine to run a little smoother...i changed plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, pcv, fuel filter...what else should i do? Just like to hear others input

Adjust timing. If the engine has many miles, it may need to be advanced a bit or retard it. That's my 2 cents! Maybe even a carb rebuild??

What's it doing? Are the plugs properly gapped?

yeah i gapped them...it doesnt run rough anymore...just trying to get the idle right now...it's almost like it sticks after i use the pedal any little bit

If you haven't yet, spray the carb down with cleaner and check the vacuum lines for cracks.

i'm getting oil through the breather up to the air cleaner, will this hurt my engine? will the pcv solve this? should i put an aftermarket breather on?

You may also want to check your gas pedal. Lube it up with white lithium grease where it sits in the plastic cradle. It may be sticking there also. Loosen the 3 bolts where the pedal mounts up and SQUEEZE some in there.

I'd do the carb cleaner like mentioned above, just do not lube the throttle cable with anything.  it will make it gum up and gall the inner coating and will make it fail sooner.  check all your vacuum hoses and replace any that are obviously bad or slip on and off the port very easily.  if you have the valve in the exhaust (RH manifold between the manifold and exhaust pipe) make sure it moves freely. use the carb cleaner to check for intake manifold and carb leaks around the base.
