82 SWB engine swap

Finally pulled the trigger. My tired beast got a new heart.

Actually, its a newish Goodwrench motor....found on Craigslist. The previous motor was spent...and going downhill in a hurry. New accessories, hoses, belts, etc. Still got some clean up, but overall very happy with the results.

Seems to run really well...and much better than before.

Oddly though, we can't get the timing mark to register. Its no where near the indicator marks.

WOW, if it runs good as shown in the last pic, just think of how good it'll run with a carb and ignition wires.

Looks awesome.  Chevy orange is timeless and looks perfect under any hood.  When I do a head/cam swap on my goodwrench I'll definitely repaint it that color.

LOL. I'll have to post a pic of the final product. Need to clearn up the wires first. Has a Holley 600cfm on it...

The orange is really awesome in person...just hope I can keep it clean.
