Yes, The transmission tunnel (depending on the year/tonage) may be different, just behind that (under the front edge of the seat) is higher on the 4x4. Either a section needs cut out of the 4x4 & put in or a 2" body lift will do. Lorne

Lorne my truck is an 84 and the 4wd frame is an 84 so should it be any different?...they both have 350 engine and th400 tranny
