What's it like driving a motor like that? I'm always curious about how blown motors and high-hp motors are to drive. Can you punch it from an idle and it rip through the gears or is it soft down low but tears up the mid-range, or all bottom end and kinda shuts off up high? That kinda thing.

Thanks alot guys!! Gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing I'm achieving my goal. Not to have the fastest ride but one that has a high visual impact on the street.

It's an experience!!! From idle in any gear , the trans is a manual/reverse pattern btw, the street tires will turn as long as I want  to hold the throttle open. With the slicks, thats a different story. I don't go to the track and I DO NOT street race. But with our many back roads, using the trans brake or at an idle, she launches hard,the gears come quick, and pulls all the way until I let off at 6000 rpm. That's as far as I will take her. And she is still pulling 10 lbs of boost.  I guess to answer your guestion, there is really gobs of low end torque,which is a blast, but the power stays up there as well.

That made me smile   That would be incredible to have that kind of power in a truck like this. I hope one day to have the kind of power that just makes me giggle uncontrollably. Friend of mine has a mostly stock Viper that has run 12.3 so far and the power of that car is nothing but addicting. Bottom to top it just pulls and pulls but with ferocity. I can imagine your truck is very similar if not even more so!

im from altus, u have a lot of good back roads right by your work. that truck is really nice, ive seen it up close at the car show during the air show on altus afb. didnt know it was a daily driver, just make it more impressive

Yes, there are a few stretches left that are decent enough, but the heavy truck traffic is taking its toll on them. Still a good place to test and tune tho. Even the blue fat tired camaro has been out there lately. Since you apparently go by the district , pull into the yard some evening around quitting time and introduce yourself and we'll take a little spin . If not, at least post up your truck so I will know who you are. Think I'm familiar with most of the trucks in town and the faces that go with them.

Wow, that was a long time ago, Sept. 2002. I only had her a year and my son-in-law talked me into going to help the car count since that was their first attempt at a car show. Got a big trophy for people's choice runner-up for doing so . And she has made a major appearance change since then also.

im from altus but only go there on my days off now to see my son.  Only driven my truck there once, ill definitely have to take you up on that offer some day if the weathers good.  Ive got an 82 with a 76 front clip, its primer hot rod flatz black, looks more like metallic gray primer with black ralleye fat and skinnys.  Ill try and bring it up there one day, keep it in texas with me for right now
