Short box 4x4 frame.....
« on: April 17, 2009, 01:34:19 pm »
Thinking of my project options.
I have a short box 4x4 frame, can I swap over everthing
from my 88 full size Jimmy onto this frame?
What is different between frames?
Thanks

Chronos, The Blazer frame is 6"-8" shorter than the short bed truck frame in the middle, making the wheelbase different, so it's a no-go. Lorne

Lorne is right. You would have to shorten the frame and relocated the body mounts and even then, I dont think it would work right.

Running gear except the rear drive shaft will all bolt in pretty simple. Body will not fit even with the cab mount brackets. Frame is completely different.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

As Blazin stated, the body will not fit, there is nothing simular on the frame except for the portion under your feet forward.
