Sunday, January 19th, 2013: After trying every alternative and probably grinding on this broken metal for about an 2 hours over the course of a week I started getting desparate.  I ended up finding a pointed carbide bit and started grinding again and after about 10 minutes I started noticing that more metal was coming out.  Withing about 5 minutes the hard metal was gone and it was chewing up the bolt.  I was finally able to drill it the rest of the way out and then tap it.









During this time I also picked up a new fuel sending unit for the fuel pump.  I got it out as I thought I was not going to be able to get this bolt out..

Saturday, January 25th, 2014: Picked up some gear oil, additive and the cover gasket I picked up prior and filled the rearend and put the cover back on.  So far nothing is leaking.

Saturday, March 8th, 2014: Removed the grille to check the turn signal bulbs as the blinkers indicators weren't working in the Dakota setup.  After verifying they were good, checked the obvious and fixed 2 problems.  No fuse in the Turn/Bckup terminal on the fuse panel.

I also took the opportunity to put the billet grille in..  I think it shows the intercooler to well

Monday, March 10th, 2014: Started working on fixing the problem of inoperatable fuel gauge and not enough fuel for high boost.
This is the new replacement sending unit:

     I agree with you, your eye's are automatically drawn to the inter cooler when you look at the front of your truck.  Maybe if the billet grill was darker it would hide the inter cooler some.

I could paint all the aluminum flat black, but I don't really want to do that...

You could always hard black anodize the core, leaving a flat finish that will more effectively reject heat - while at the same time leaving the pipes polished aluminum to create a 'mystery' behind the grille.

It is much more humorous when they do though which is why I hid everything and it looks like a "normal" truck.

My theory on my last was was close to the same, just it wasn't "pretty".  Problem was the 454, it was very loud.

True but I would go on the cheap and just fog it with some satin spray bomb.
