Lug nuts/Impala SS Wheels
« on: May 15, 2009, 08:34:02 pm »
I know my truck need 1/2 20 lug nuts, but it seems the stocks are to short to install the Impala SS stock wheels on it because when I attempt to tighten them I run out of room before it goes all the way in. I was wondering do I just need to get taller/longer lug nuts(which seems to be the way to go) or is there another problem going on? FYI it's a 1986 Fullsize c10 2wd if that helps at all?

Well, I got them from a long time ago...  The factory lugs with the open ends are exactly the same.

or you just ask the parts guy for lug nuts for a 96 impala SS and he should have them behind the counter or give you a number for the isle they are in if you want aftermarket looking ones

Irish, I'm thinking the '96 Impala lugnuts are metric...I could be wrong though. Lorne

Impala SS Lugs are metric, won't work..
I dug up a receipt, for 5 on mine are 611-094.1 from Autozone. The factory replacement lugs work just the same and they have open centers, which I prefer.

I solved it I got new ones like 1 inch compared to the half inch ones I had. I just can't put them on or remove them with an impact socket due to the clearance but other than that they are great and thanks for your help Capt. I love the way they look on my truck(I'd post pictures but its still so far from being done I'll start posting pictures once I install the new doors and the one peice kits.
