Done that 4 wheeling before. I would agree axle wrap, and maybe some worn out spring eye bushings.

Some cal-trac bars might be a good thing, especially with that kind of that hook to get a 60 ft time like that and leaf springs. Not really surprising something broke there if everything isn't fairly new, fresh and heavy duty. The huge amount of torque that nitrous creates, coupled with slicks that hook up, can do freaky things. In another thread with a 600 HP SBC, a guy broke his transmission case!

about 11.5 or 12 to 1
Why are you running such high CR with N2O?
I hope you used some seriously strong internals.
Show us a whole pic of the leaf springs on both sides. Is the shackle frozen?

Not only have I seen it i've done it. Mostly has to do with axle wrap but your pinion angle plays a part in it also. I've torn up about everything under my truck at one time or another. Get you a set of Cal-Tracs and mono leaf springs. Be sure to clamp the springs in front and behind the axle. Then work on your pinion angle. The only other advice I could give you is don't spray off the line I cut 1.5 60's all day long on motor wait till you get out a ways before you spray.

we were told it was 12 to 1 had our friend who owns a local engine shop figure it up today he says with the pistons and the big open chamber heads it is prob closer to 10 to 1 truck is a slug on motor pulls 2.22 60 ft and 9.4 in eighth turn on gas and it would pull 1.54 60 and 7.6 in eighth

Well I am wondering how much they drop the rear (the mono's). Because I was wondering if a flip kit would be too much drop. It would decide which caltrac bars I get. Overall I want a 4/6 drop, and able to hook. If I have to run shackles/hangers and mono's thats fine. Just looking to buy the right parts the first time out.
Also I currently have the 8 leaf long rear springs. Do the monoleafs come in that length? Also what are the prices cap on a set of mono's for our trucks. It isn't on yer site.
