Here is a few more pics as the swap progressed.

We desided to leave the glass in the old cab untill we got it off the truck for fear of droping it. W removed the fenders to ease the removal of the old cab. Sprayed the fire wall while we had the chance with rust stop and rustomum paint. We only had 3 guys to lift the old cab off so we chopped it in half to get it over the shifter and off the frame. the fours guy finally showed up to lift the new cab up and over the shifter and on the frame.

We actually got everything done except the glass and the dash and seat by Sunday afternoon. That’s including the time we used to run to the junk yard to grab a heater $60.00 fro inner and outer pieces (this cab was set up for heat only and mine was AC equipped(didn’t have ac anyway so this cleaned up the engine bay). While at the yard found a K10 with a great chrome 10" custom bumper for $50 and magnaflow duals for $6.76 for each side and some fender emblems custom deluxe 10 and Silverado 10  for $5 total (pictures of the bumper and stuff coming soon..)

I have a ton of pics if any needs or wants any...
Ill put them on photobucket tonight of webshots.

LOL we didnt want to worry with trying to line it all back up with the gears and stuff. (I suggested it and my cousin who has done more over haul'n said i could suck to to)

Now i need the glass switched over and a new seat, mine sucks.

If anyone has a suggestion for a 40/20/40 or a bench with a center fold down console that would be easily fitted in let me know :-)

The cab was a great grab. I cant belive the deal i got. He has a few other parts i with i had grabed while there... but the pick and pull near me has GREAT DEALS. I got that rear bumper (pic coming tonight) for $48.00; i priced it online for 498+100 shipping. Also got a dual exhaust (magnaflow i beleave) for $6 a side. Going back to grab the lift of the truck if anyone wants mine for cheep lol.

Who needs a dash? I can take a few pics and see if it is something they would like. I am pulling the windows tonight as long a the weather holds and this i can grind the spot welds off and get it out.

Ill have an extra back window with slider, hood, fender set, ect too. Ill have to post a pile of pics of all the left overs...

They are a little bit higher in price then what im looking to pay... Back to the Pick nad Pull for me lol... I had gotted a whole interior for a VW cabbriolet for 165.00 (both front custom leather buckets, rear bench, door cards and dash)

Here is the bumper, just needs the dirt cleaned off (no scrathces or dents... flas made it look like it) not bad for 48.00

The exhaust was 6.00 per side so 12 total so not to bad.. some surface rust but thats it.

ALSO got the rear window in last night in about 5 min... lucky too the rain started about an hour later...

I used the pull rope way to get the window and seal installed... ill be doing the windsheild next...

got the rope idea from this site

http://www.route66restorations.com/1.html

It worked awesome... I did go back with black silicone and placed a bead around the window.... To prevent it from getting rained on befor it dried i used Glad press and seal wrap to seal the edges of the window... That stuff is great for everything including taping off for painting :-)
