adhesive spray removal tips/tricks

whats the easiest way to remove old strong adhesive spray form where previous owner had a ghetto style headliner installed. wanting to paint all interior cab except floor carpet kit area.... stuff is kinda spikey and hard yellow

Try a variety of products/methods since you don't know what it is.

Chemical: acetone, MEK, Wax & Grease Romover and see which one works best. They all should have some effect. You have to keep it wet and don't forget ample ventilation.

Mechanical: Since you're painting it anyway, try one of those 3M abrasive disks (looks like a round luffa)

Laquer thinner will work

laquer was also prescribed by another friend also acetone.. i'll try both..

what a pita this has turned out to be...dang ghetto headliner installer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wouldnt be so bad if it was just alittle spot but its the whole back wall and roof!!!!!!!acetone no good will try laquer thinner tommorrow
