Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th to everyone! I know we have problems in our country, but, it is still the best out there. So we can still smile when we think about the birth of our country. We are free to celebrate it as we wish.
How am I celebrating?
Taking the fam to N.C.'s Outer Banks, Cape Hatteras, to do some swimming and driving on the beach. Nothing like sittin on the beach watching the fireworks from each town up and down the coastline.
Enjoy your holiday!

quite an eventful trip to the outerbanks---the ferry terminal going to Ocracoke Island was backed up because a truck exploded with all the fireworks that were set to go off Sat. night. Instead of watching the ocracoke fireworks, we had to settle on the Hatteras fireworks...oh well. They are saying three people died from the explosion and it was on CNN...I was wondering why all those rescue vehicles were flying down route 12 through Frisco down to the Hatteras Ferry, on the way to Ocracoke island.
Anyone familiar with Ocracoke, this was at the US Coast Guard parking lot at the ferry terminal, near Silver lake where Blackbeard kept his headquarters back in the day....
