where to get intake tube

im planning on doing what other people have done and use another air cleaner so mine has two air inlets...i was wondering where i could get or find the factory tube that comes on these trucks...i would rather not have the tubing from lowes or home depot

Spectre makes an entire setup. Look on their website or on the shelf at autozone.

im using the factory air cleaner and i want to use the factory tube(the black plastic one) i dont have the extra money to get stuff from spectre or any of those other brands

When I did mine, I wanted to use the factory tubes too, so I grabbed another one at a local slavage yard.  It was only when I realized they weren't long enough that I went with the corrugated tubing from Lowes.  Also, if you can't find one at a yard, and don't like the hard corrugated tubing (I'm not too crazy about it either but it works), Gates makes a soft vinyl intake hose in 4".

does the tubing from lowes keep its shape or does it flop around...is it as strong as the stock tube

Stronger and more rigid.  A little too rigid actually, but like I said it works.  You have to cut it to the perfect length because it is not very compressible like the stock tubes.  When I first installed it, I thought it was kinda ugly too, but now that I've lived with it for a while, it's not so bad.

do you know how much they cost at lowes?

About $5 for 10'.  That was the main appeal.
