86 Scottsdale 2x4 parts to a 76 Scottsdale 4x4?
« on: July 13, 2009, 04:01:47 am »
I have a donor 86 Scottsdale donor truck for my 76. I read about the front Clip swap from an 81-87 to a 73-80 and Im not sure if I want to do that. What I want to know is will anything else from an 86 swap to a 76? ie. Steering Column, seat, Gauges, Dash, doors,Etc.. I hope I didnt waste my money on this 86 donor. BTW its a 2x4 and it has no bed engine or tranny. My 76 is a 4x4. Thanks in advance!!

  • Family is not an important thing. It's everything.

everything pretty much swaps over but the guts inside the doors are diffrent if you ever need to replace anything in there you have to remember the year of the doors

The column will bolt up but the wipers controls, electrical controls are different. The pinouts on the gauges changed over the years too.
