ok i thought that the hole where its marked for the kickdown stud is where the spring attaches... ???

Hooking up throttle return springs with aftermarket carbs often requires a little creativity on the part of the installer.

I would advise making yourself a little metal tab like this:


And installing it under the nut of the kickdown stud like this:

ok i hooked the carb up yesturday like you showed me and it fired up.i did a little adjusting of the idling and it ran perfect. the truck had been sitting for about 7 months with a new motor in it i just couldnt get it started. thanks alot for your help eventhorizon66. you saved me alot of money and hassle.
