Finally got the beast running, now a new problem has sprung up. Left front brake is dragging...if I open the bleeder, it releases, but goes right back to dragging as soon as I hit the brakes. Any ideas?

Replace the caliper hose. (I would do both at the same time.)

i would be on the hoses too. since you will be changing the hoses soon...when is the last time you changed your brake fluid? every 2 years is recommended
