how to smooth out the fierwall

hey guys I'm working on a 84 chevy c10 2wd. i want to know what is the easiest way to smooth out the fire wall. is there a skin i can weld on or do i have to do alot of body work? well any help would be great thanks guy's.

No one makes a skin that you can buy and weld on. I have seen it done two ways. you can make individual filler panels and weld up each hole individually or you can make one large panel and cover the whole fire wall at one time. Either way you are on your own for making the filler panels.

I welded the entire seam across the front and used USC all metal then evercoat rage extreme body filler.. I di alot of hand sanding , blocking as well as a board file.. It took alot but it should look good once its in paint..
