my end goal is a quiet cab. i haven't even began to worry about the stereo, that's the last thing on my mind. i'll probably go with a dvd in dash setup or something anyway. or have a console fabbed up and put it  there. but i want the cab quiet. like, lexus quiet.

If you combine the foam, the butyl goo-mat, and the vinyl barrier you will put the best lexus they make to shame.

well that's my goal. i hate noise. i wanna do the one piece windows at some point too to avoid the smaller window from making noise.

Me too. I can't stand that highway tire noise, or road noise or engine noise. To me it can make any vehicle feel cheap and poorly made. It's fun to eliminate it though.
