Body shop guys: How much for this job?
« on: August 20, 2009, 07:29:42 pm »
I know theres a few body shop guys around here, and I had a question for yall. How much would you charge for the job, of laying new sound deadening material up against the firewall of one of these old trucks? (think that dynamat stuff) Took me a long time to get there, but I finally tasted bitter defeat today with my truck lol.  :( The task of ripping all that stuff out of there is just too intimidating for me. My experience with this kind of thing is limited. So I just wanted to ask yall how much you would charge to do something like that. Be nice to know what to expect before I go. Here is a pic of what the finished job might look like, although it would still be underneath all the stuff that goes there. Not concerned with the floor, I can do that. Just under the dash, the firewall.

Once you pull everything out, it really isn't that bad.

Are you wanting to rip everything out just to lay that stuff on there which won't even make a noticeable difference? You're probably looking around $1200 bucks labor.

You don't believe in sound deadening?
